Physical Therapy: Injury Prevention

When you’ve dedicated your time, energy, and finances to the pursuit of your sport, training, or wellness, it’s important to protect your investment by decreasing your risk for injuries that could derail training, decrease performance ability, and potentially end your sports career. Physical therapy can help you by:

  1. Ensuring there’s a strong, stable foundation to build upon, allowing you to unlock your highest athletic potential

  2. Proactively supporting your body during periods of high training stress

  3. Periodically checking in to evaluate injury risks (the smoke before the fire)

The Process

  • A valuable conversation where we get to spend time (that doesn’t take away from your actual initial evaluation and treatment) diving into a thorough history of your pain/injury, sports experience, and goal and you get to know who you’re working with.

  • This is where we evaluate your body from both a big picture view and in the specific area of pain/concern, make a plan about what it will likely take to see meaningful improvements and reach your goals, and start our treatment process!

  • PT is a collaboration between you and your therapist. All treatment sessions are 1-on-1 for a full hour with the same physical therapist and we work to address the root cause(s) of your pain. Interventions—from hands on care to education to therapeutic exercises—are customized to your needs.

  • With dedication and commitment from both client and therapist, our work together will help you

    • Make your comeback (after time away, surgery, or injury, etc)

    • Stay in the game (whatever your game may be)

    • Fix the cracks in your movement foundation

    • Calm your anxieties around aches & pains

Sports Massage & Recovery

These are one-off sessions for bodywork only, offered for a limited time for the purpose of enhancing athletic performance, promoting healing, and keeping yourself in the game through targeted techniques that alleviate muscle tension, improve flexibility, and accelerate recovery.
